Kathmandu, July 5
Kathmandu metropolitan city has asked the police to take legal action against 68 cooperatives for misappropriation of savers’ funds.
The metropolis has sent a letter to Kathmandu Police saying that these cooperatives have embezzled Rs 1.21 billion from about 2,700 savers from 2015 to June 2023.
The city government took this action based on the numerous complaints filed by individuals who claimed to have been deceived by these cooperatives.
