Lalitpur, December 13
Activist Iih was barred from peacefully protesting in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
As Iih and other activists stood in front of the city office demanding the management of street vendors, locals aggressively obstructed his protest.
Iih had announced he would stand in front of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City for 108 minutes on Tuesday demanding the management of street vendors after the city decided to ban them from the Mangalbajar-Lagankhel road.
However, Lalitpur locals were not in support of Iih’s protest and shouted slogans at him saying he was trying to disrupt peace in Lalitpur. They also argued the street in which the city had banned street vendors was of historical importance.
As the crowd became agitated, Iih was taken from the area by the police.
