Janakpurdham, May 12
A person has been found dead in Lahan of Siraha district, in southeastern Nepal, on Tuesday.
Police recovered the body of a man who appears to be in his early 40s, beheaded, in Lahan-17, this morning, informs DSP Sharad Kumar Chhetri of the District Police Office. It has been learned that he was a resident of the same neighbourhood.
The investigators have suspected that he might have been murdered on Monday night. They, however, are clueless about who murdered him why.
Further investigation is underway. The body has been sent for a postmortem.
In the past 50 days since the country went on a nationwide lockdown to control the coronavirus outbreak, the eight districts of Province 2 have recorded 11 murders and 57 suicide incidents.
