
Kathmandu, February 7
Voting for 32 National Assembly members has been over at all six voting centres of six provinces.
The Election Commission says the voting was held peacefully in Biratnagar of Province 1, Patan of Province 3, Pokhara of Province 4, Dang of Province 5, Surkhet of Province 6 and Doti of Province 7 from 10 am to 3 pm today.
Earlier, the Commission had scheduled the voting for 56 positions. However, 24 of them including all eight candidates of Province 2 were elected unanimously.
Meanwhile, the Commission and its provincial poll offices say results of the elections will begin to be announced from tonight.
The Commission has planned to publish all results by Friday.
Provincial Assembly members and chiefs and deputy chiefs of local governments were eligible to cast their ballots to elect Upper House members.
