The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 17,502 as of Friday, as reported in the ministry’s daily briefing.
The ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam informed that in the past 24 hours, a total of 57 new cases were confirmed in the country. In total, 3,331 swab samples were tested at 27 labs across the country in this period.
Of the total cases so far, 11,637 people have achieved recovery. In the past 24 hours, 103 people have been discharged. Nepal’s current recovery rate is 66.12 per cent.
The other 5,825 cases are active currently.
As many as 40 have died of the disease so far.
The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Rautahat, Kailali, and Bajura have more than 500 active cases each. Bhojpur, Panchthar, Rasuwa, Mustang, Manang, and Humla do not have any active case.
Over 23,275 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
