Kathmandu, November 21
Nepal Police headquarters has transferred 59 superintendents of police at one go.
It has sent Kiran Rana to Bhaktapur Police Complex and brought Kiran Bajracharya from Bhaktapur to NP headquarters’ Crime Investigation Division under the Crime Investigation Department.
It has brought Mira Chaudhary from Makwanpur district police office to Special Crime Investigation Division under the Crime Investigation Bureau.
NP has deputed SP Arjun Chand Thakuri to Kailali district, Umesh Raj Joshi to Tanahun DPO, Dipak Thapa to Chitwan and Divesh Lohani to Saptari DPO.
Basant Kumar Lama will be in-charge of Makwanpur DPO, whereas Bharat Bohara will be in charge at Bardiya DPO.
Mohan Kumar Acharya will take charge at Surkhet DPO, Yagya Binod Pokharel at Rautahat DPO, Rajendra Dhakal in Baglung, Shekhar Koirala in Siraha, Sahakul Thapa in Kavre and Sudip Raj Bhandari at Dhankuta DPO.
The mass transfer of SPs is taking place after a year, whereas there has been no transfer of senior superintendents of police even after 16 months.
A source said NP headquarters has put transfer of SSPs on hold as a large number of police officials want transfer in Metropolitan Police Complex Kathmandu, Crime Division and MPC Lalitpur, among others.
Dinesh Amatya, Dhiru Basnyat and Chhabi Lal Joshi, among others, reportedly want transfer in MPC Kathmandu.
“There are whole lot of aspirants vying for MPC Lalitpur postings. That’s why transfer of SSPs is on hold,” a high official told Onlinekhabar.
