Kathmandu, April 10
On Wednesday, the NEPSE index of the stock market dropped to 20 points. Compared to the previous day, the index NEPSE decreased by 10.71 points and remained at 2025 points. This number of the market has bid farewell to the Nepali year 2080 BS. Business will open on April 14 as Thursday is a public holiday.
A total of Rs 3.48 billion has been traded. Yesterday, there was a transaction worth Rs 4.14 billion. A total of 63 companies increased in value, 176 decreased while six remained stable.
Business increased by 1.46 per cent and production by 0.13 per cent. Apart from that, all groups have decreased. Finance decreased the most by 2.5 per cent. Based on the score, banking decreased by 0.42, development bank by 50, finance by 51, hotel and tourism by 87, hydropower by one, life insurance by 130, microfinance by 46, non-life insurance by 111 and other groups by seven.
Mandu hydropower increased by 9.6 per cent while Khanikhola hydropower increased by 8.2 per cent. The price of Gurans Microfinance increased by 7.7 per cent, People’s Power by 6.8 per cent, and Pokhara Finance by 6.6 per cent. The price of Singati Hydro decreased by 10 per cent. However, Win Nepal Microfinance decreased by 9.9 per cent, Mankamana Smart Microfinance by 5.6 per cent and all microfinance decreased by 5.5 per cent.
Himalayan Reinsurance, Gorkha’s Finance, Nepal Finance, Pokhara Finance and Nepal Reinsurance Company were in the lead respectively in terms of the transaction amount.
