NEPSE: Share market rises by 108 points, trading volume decreases

After a decrease of 145 points the previous day, the share market rose by 108 points on Wednesday, bringing the NEPSE index to 2759 points. However, the trading volume has decreased. On the previous day, the trading amount was Rs 23.71 billion, whereas today it is Rs 17.95 billion.

The value of 239 companies increased, while 3 companies saw a decline. Indicators for all sectors have risen, with the ‘Other’ and ‘Finance’ sectors experiencing the highest increase of more than 7 per cent.

The banking sector increased by 2.3 per cent, development banks by 4.5 per cent, finance companies by 7.6 per cent, hotels and tourism by 5.1 per cent, hydropower by 5.7 per cent, life insurance by 3.9 per cent, investment by 3.8 per cent, production by 3.5 per cent, microfinance by 2.1 per cent, non-life insurance by 3 per cent, other sectors by 7.8 per cent, and trading by 5.5 per cent.

Stocks such as Bottlers Nepal Balaju, Goodwill Finance, Samriddhi Finance, Progressive Finance, Nepal Reinsurance Company, Mailungkhola Hydropower, Dolti Power, City Hotel, Himalayan Reinsurance, and Central Finance, as well as Kuthali Bukri Small Hydropower, Sign Resunga Development Bank, Makar Jitumaya Hydropower, and NRN Infrastructure, saw an increase in value ranging from 9.9 per cent to 10 per cent.

Some debenture and mutual fund schemes experienced a significant decrease in value. Based on trading volume, Himalayan Reinsurance, Nepal Finance, Sanima My Hydropower, Shivam Cement, and Chilime Hydropower were at the forefront.
