Kathmandu, March 4
Newly elected 18 members of the National Assembly have taken the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday. They were elected during the elections held on January 23.
The term of 19 lawmakers had ended on Tuesday. Whereas 18 will be replaced by those taking the oath today, the 19th member will be nominated by the president upon a recommendation from the government.
The National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina administered the oath of office and secrecy to them amidst a special function organised at the Parliament building in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning.
