Kathmandu, February 29
There was no bomb inside a Simrik Air plane at Lukla airport in Solukhumbu, an investigation has revealed. An earlier report said there were rumours that the plane had a bomb in it. With confirmation that it was a hoax, planes are preparing to leave the airport for Kathmandu.
Solukhumbu chief district officer Krishna Prasad Sharma told Onlinekhabar: The information that there was a bomb inside the plane was false. The aircraft will leave for Kathmandu soon.”
A search had retrieved from the plane a paper with “Caution: there’s a bomb inside” written on it, causing panick at the airport. The Dornier plane had arrived from Kathmandu on Monday morning. In course of security checks, authorities had shut the airport.
CDO Sharma said they have launched an investigation to find the person involved in terrorising the public.
