Kathmandu, March 1
A suspicious object was found close to Singha Durbar, the government secretariat, in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The object was located close to the secretariat’s southern gate.
Local people had informed police after finding a suspicious object, which looked like a water purifying machine, in front of Colour Bazaar close to the building of Siddharatha Insurance, suspecting it to be a bomb.
Security personnel have emptied the road. A Nepali Army bomb disposal squad has reached the site.
Some days ago, there was a bomb scare in Lukla airport too. Police had recovered a paper with ‘Bomb’ written on it on board a plane. It turned out to be a hoax.
