Kathmandu, September 20
A tanker carrying petrol to Kathmandu has plunged into Trishuli river from Prithvi Highway in the wee hours of Sunday.
Petrol leaked in the incident, resulting in a fire, which a fire engine assisted by police contained in a few minutes.
The vehicle (Na 4 Kha 2822) fell around 600 metres into the river from the highway at Charaudi, Galchhi rural municipality-6 of the Dhading district, at around 2 am today.
District Police Office says efforts are underway to take out the tanker from the river. Only a part of the vehicle is visible now.
It is said that the accident did not cause any human casualties as both the driver and his assistant have contacted police.
