Kathmandu, December 29
Police in Kathmandu have arrested 13 cadres of the communist party led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ during a protest in Pradarshani Marga on Sunday afternoon.
The government has banned the party’s functions including its involvement in criminal activities such as explosions. Therefore, the police have been arresting its cadres whenever they launch any protest.
The cadres were staging a demonstration against India’s alleged border encroachment. The party’s youth wing had organised the demonstration.
As police nabbed them and took to the nearby Nepal Police Club, the protest could not take place.
