Kathmandu, March 17
Nepali Congress influential leader Prakash Man Singh has demanded that the government launch a special programme to prevent the country from likely coronavirus spread and address various other problems including the market crisis caused by public fears.
He assures that the opposition party is ready to support the government in this regard.
Speaking with ward chairs of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City elected on behalf of the party and constituency committee presidents of the party in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Singh also directed them to reach out to the citizens and make them aware how they could prevent the infection. He was of the view that such a drive could also help the party strengthen its image in the public.
“This is the right time for us to show our work. Let’s give up our personal aspirations and serve the people round the clock.”
