Kathmandu, March 18
Police on Wednesday arrested three persons in Tinthana on the western outskirts of Kathmandu for their alleged involvement in a gang rape case.
A 17-year-old girl was recently raped by them inside a truck parked on the roadside in Tinthana, Chandragiri-15, according to police.
DSP Ghana Shyam Shrestha, the chief of Metropolitan Police Circle in Thankot, identifies the suspects as Sanjay Gharti Magar (24) from Rapti rural municipality-1 of Dang, Pasang Tamang (19) from Sunkoshi rural municipality-1 of Sindhuli, and Kapil Khadka (19) from Gokul Ganga rural municipality-2 of Ramechhap.
Further investigation is underway.
