UML to train new people’s representatives elected from the party

The CPN-UML says it will train party leaders and cadres who have won first and second phases of local level elections on various issues of local governance.

Contents of the two-day training have already been finalised whereas the Central Secretariat has fixed different dates for different provinces.

Party leaders as well as experts will facilitate the sessions on financial management, construction works, resource mobilisation and legal arrangements, according to the party.

The first training will be held in Province 7 on July 22 and 23.

Provincial committees of the party have been directed to take managerial responsibility of the events, UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai informs.

All leaders who wave won positions of chief and deputy chiefs of local units from the party will participate in the training. Some ward chairpersons will also be invited from the units where the party has lost in polls for chief or deputy chief.

Other regional leaders of the party will also participate.
