Kathmandu, April 6
WordCamp Nepal 2025 wrapped up this weekend in Kathmandu with a powerful display of knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and community enthusiasm, reinforcing Nepal’s growing stature in the global WordPress ecosystem.
Held at Kundalini Durbar, Chandol, the event kicked off on Friday, April 4 with Contributor Day—a dynamic prelude that saw registered attendees roll up their sleeves to give back to the platform that powers over 43.6% of the web.
From beginners to seasoned developers, participants engaged in both technical and non-technical contributions: fixing bugs, designing themes, translating content, improving documentation, and participating in support forums. Contributor Day once again proved to be a hub of action, energy, and purpose—one that united the WordPress community around a shared mission of open-source growth.
Throughout the weekend, WordCamp Nepal 2025 served as a melting pot of ideas, featuring workshops, panel discussions, lightning talks, and real-world problem-solving sessions. Attendees—ranging from bloggers and developers to digital entrepreneurs and designers—explored the latest WordPress trends, discovered new plugins and tools, and dove deep into SEO, site optimization, accessibility, and AI integration in web development.
One of the highlights was the vibrant networking culture that permeated the event. Hallways and breakout zones buzzed with meaningful conversations, new friendships, collaborative ideas, and even career opportunities. International and local speakers alike captivated audiences with personal stories, technical tips, and visions for the future of WordPress in South Asia.
A legacy of growth

Since Nepal’s first WordCamp in 2012, the WordPress community has expanded exponentially. From city-based WordCamps in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Biratnagar to the historic national-level event in Bharatpur in 2022, the country has continuously demonstrated its capacity to foster innovation and inclusivity in the open-source world.
WordCamp Nepal 2025 marks a continuation of this inspiring journey. The event was not just about tech—it was about people. Whether it was someone learning how to build their first site or a developer showcasing a groundbreaking plugin, everyone was part of a bigger story: one of empowerment through technology.
Looking ahead

As the curtains close on this year’s WordCamp, the message is loud and clear: Nepal’s WordPress community is stronger, more connected, and more driven than ever before. With each new event, the community sets a higher benchmark for learning, innovation, and collaboration.
The organising team expressed heartfelt gratitude to sponsors, volunteers, speakers, and attendees who made the event a success. With eyes now set on future WordCamps, the momentum built in Kathmandu this year is expected to ripple across the country—and beyond.
