Kathmandu, December 8

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ still hasn’t declared his assets, three months into his tenure as the country’s chief executive.

Prachanda, who is required by law to make public the details of his assets within 60 days of taking oath of office, hasn’t done so even as his government has already crossed the 100-day mark.

According to a minister, the Prime Minister has already submitted the details of his assets to the Prime Minister’s Office, but the Cabinet has not decided to make it public just yet.

Prachanda, who is also the chief of Nepal’s CPN-Maoist (Centre) party, led a decade-long anti-government insurgency in Nepal from 1996-2006, and announced that he would not keep any private property.
