Janakpur, August 29
Cadres of the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal in Janakpur of Dhanusha district have tried to obstruct a function of the main opposition CPN-UML by pelting stones at the opposition cadres.
Senior UML leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal was scheduled to address the function.
The RJPN cadres gathered at local Ramananda Chok also showed a black flag to Nepal before police dispersed them.
The Madhesh-centric party has been claiming that the UML is an anti-Madheshi force and it blocked the constitution amendment bill from endorsement which the government had introduced to address its demands.
The UML had organised an assembly of senior party cadres for preparations of local level elections scheduled for September 18.
