Kathmandu, June 14
The Development and Technology Committee of the federal parliament has asked sought action against Pappu Construction for its role in the delay of the construction of a bridge in Kathmandu.
The committee said it was forced to recommend against the controversial construction company after it continued to work on the bridge even after the committee asked it not to.
Kathmandu Valley Road Development Project had asked Pappu to stop working on it after it found that the bridge’s structure was not up to the mark. However, Pappu disregarding the orders went ahead with the construction anyways.
Committee chair Kalyani Khadka and a team of experts inspected the bridge after which they decided to recommend action against the construction company.
