Lalitpur, December 11
Activist Iih has announced he will stand in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan City for 108 minutes* in protest of the city banning street vendors on the Mangalbajar-Lagankhel road.
Iih stood outside the Kathmandu Metropolitan City office for 199 hours demanding accountability from the city for its inhumane treatment of street vendors in the city.
He said he will start his stand-in-protest from 3 pm on Tuesday*.
He has also asked the metropolis to reconsider the decision to ban street vendors on the road section during mornings and evenings.
*Correction: The news mentioned Iih would be standing in front of Lalitpur Metropolitan City for 108 hours from 3 pm on Wednesday. It has been changed to 108 minutes. The error is regretted.
