A group art exhibition A Glimpse of Ages kicked off on April 27 at Sashi’s Art Studio, Balaju.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Co-operatives Bagmati Provincial Assembly, Shailendra Man Bajracharya.
In the exhibition, you can see the artist/printmaker also the founder of Sashi’s Art Studio, Samjhana Rajbhandari’s artworks using printmaking techniques. Then, you can see artworks by two upcoming artists Shobha Vaidya and Saanvi Joshi.
Vaidya has used watercolour and oil colour as her medium and painted landscapes, still life and religious figures.
Joshi has used pen and ink, charcoal, watercolour, and acrylic colour as her medium to create paintings of flowers, animals and landscapes.
Moreover, in memory of Rajbhandari’s father Bidhya Dhis Rajbhandari and as a homage to him, the studio has awarded a fine arts student on the opening day. According to Rajbhandari, it is the studio’s initiation to award one fine arts student once a year based on their performance and creativity.
The exhibition is curated by Prithvi Shrestha and it continues till May 11.
