Chitwan, November 16
Umesh Shrestha, the House of Representatives candidate from Chitwan 2 on behalf of the ruling Nepali Congress party, has complained his car was vandalised during the election campaign on Wednesday morning.
The state minister’s car (Ba 3 Cha 2050) was vandalised in front of Purano Medical College, Bharatpur metropolitan city-10, of the district, according to police. A group of six people came on three motorbikes and smashed the windscreen of the car when Shrestha was meeting someone leaving the vehicle aside.
Police say they have launched a manhunt to nab the vandals.
Earlier this week, Shrestha’s rival, Rabi Lamichhane’s car was also vandalised in Muglin of the district.
