Gearing up for Hetauda Art Festival

Kathmandu, May 15

Saturday Plein Air is all set for the ‘Hetauda Art Festival.’ The festival is being held from May 16 to 18 to promote the historical, cultural and tourist city of Hetauda through the medium of fine arts.

Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality has also collaborated with the festival, which is patronised by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Cooperatives of the Bagmati Province Government.

The festival includes open-air painting workshops, dialogues on art, honouring senior artists, presentation of papers on art, etc.

Program coordinator Dibesh Pradhan informed that more than 50 artists including 25 from Kathmandu. They will participate in art workshops and various programmes in different venues such as Bhutandevi Temple, Hetauda Bus Park, Sano Pokhara Gumba, Trivenidham and more.

It is said that 50 per cent of the total sales at the festival will be donated to Manabsewa Ashram.
