The Ghumti-Ranitari road, an alternative route to Damauli-Jamune under the Prithviraj highway will be closed for traffic for the next 16 days.
The road will remain closed until June 3 for upgrading of the road. Mukesh Kumar Yadav, sub-engineer of the infrastructure development office, said that the road from Ranitari to Harshpur has been closed.
The road is being upgraded in Ward No 3 and 7 of Myagde Rural Municipality and in Ranitari of Byas Municipality-5. Upgrading and expansion are taking place along the 9.452 km road with 62 per cent of the work completed so far, said sub-engineer Yadav.
