Chinese electric car manufacturer Leapmotor is officially in Nepal with its electric family SUV, the Leapmotor C10, in Nepal. The Chinese automobile brand is a part of Stellantis. Stellantis is a global automotive company formed by merging Fiat Chrysler and PSA Group in 2021. It owns brands like Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, and Peugeot. Stellantis owns 51% of Leapmotor International, with Leapmotor holding the remaining 49% with the aim to expand into other regions after Europe.
Leapmotor currently has two electric models in its lineup, the C10 and the T03. The C10 is a full-sized family SUV, whereas the T03 is a small electric hatchback for urban commuting. The Leapmotor C10 made its official debut in Nepal at the 2024 NADA Auto Show. The family electric SUV will compete against other electric SUVs in the same price range, including the Deepal S07, Zeekr X, and BYD Atto 3 in Nepal.

Design
Exterior
The Leapmotor C10 has a modern and simple design that is defined by its performance. The front includes a simple headlight setup with a connecting LED DRL strip. The headlights are curved and have a great throw for proper visibility.
The grille has a minimalist and modern aesthetic, with a sleek, closed-panel grille with a small opening at the lower end. The lower bumper has aerodynamic openings for better performance and better range with LED fog lights on each end.
From the side, the Leapmotor C10 has a boxy SUV design. It has a ground clearance of 190 mm, which is good enough for the roads in Nepal. The doors are sleek with flush door handles, which help in the minimalist clean look and help in aerodynamics for range efficiency. The 20-inch alloy wheels give a modern look and blend with the electric car’s looks.
As for the rear, the Leapmotor C10 continues the classy, simple look with a connecting LED taillight. The rear spoiler adds to the performance and looks with the brake lights in the centre. The rear window is large with a clear view of the back. The rear window also has wipers to clean off dirt and water.
Interior
The Leapmotor C10 features a clean and modern dashboard highlighted by a 10.25-inch LCD digital instrument cluster that provides all the necessary driving information at a glance. The C10 has a 14.6-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, which offers seamless control over navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings. The smooth and simple UI is easy to use but does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The dashboard has soft-touch materials and ambient lighting, which adds to the modern look. It also incorporates hidden power vents, maintaining the minimalist look.
The Leapmotor C10’s climate control system is baked into the infotainment system. It features dual-zone climate control with advanced air quality features, such as a high-efficiency composite filter and air detection for internal and external circulation, maintaining clean and fresh air inside the cabin. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated rear air vents, and the sleek hidden power vents enhance the modern and minimalist design.
The Leapmotor C10’s seats are designed for optimal comfort, with the driver’s seat featuring 6-way power adjustment, memory, and a welcome function, while the front passenger seat offers 4-way power adjustment. Both front seats are heated, ventilated, and equipped with removable headrests for added flexibility. The second-row seats can be folded in a 40/60 split configuration. The Leapmotor C10 delivers impressive performance with its 160 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, which generates 320 Nm of maximum torque. It can reach a top speed of 170 km/h and achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration in about 7.5 seconds. The 69.9 kWh LFP battery is equipped with PTC heating and liquid cooling for optimal performance in various weather conditions, offering a range of 420 km (WLTP). Its RWD drivetrain enhances stability and control, while the single-speed transmission provides seamless power delivery.
Charging is easy for the Leapmotor C10 with DC fast charging, taking just 30 minutes to go from 30% to 80%, and AC charging, which takes 6.1 hours for the same range. The suspension system features a MacPherson strut at the front and a multi-link independent design at the rear for a smooth ride on diverse road conditions. The V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability adds versatility, enabling the C10 to power external devices. It is equipped with disc brakes on all wheels, 245/45 R20 tyres, and aluminium alloy wheels, which combine safety, comfort, and performance.
Safety and Features
The Leapmotor C10 is equipped with advanced safety features to ensure maximum protection. It includes front airbags, front side airbags, side air curtains, and a far-side airbag for enhanced collision safety. The passenger airbag cut-off switch provides additional flexibility for child safety. The front seat belts come with double pretensioners and force limiters, while the rear seats feature 3-point seat belts with pretensioners and force limiters, along with a 3-point emergency locking seat belt for the rear middle seat. For families, the ISOFIX child seat port ensures secure child seat installation.
