Kathmandu, February 12
A flood occurred in Babarmahal after the main pipe of the Melamchi drinking water burst on Tuesday. Government offices in the area have been affected by the flood.
According to Acting Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, SP Bishnu Joshi, the pipe burst in front of the Kathmandu District Court.
The floodwater has entered the Department of Forest and Soil Conservation, the Kathmandu District Court, and other government offices.
Joshi said that the water supply network of Kathmandu will be disrupted due to the pipe burst. A team from Nepal Police and Kathmandu Metropolitan Police has been deployed to Babarmahal to manage the situation.
