Nabil Bank receives ISO 27001:2022 Certification for robust information security management

Nabil Bank Limited has been awarded the prestigious ISO 27001:2022 certification by INTERCERT, a globally recognised certification body. This achievement underscores the bank’s commitment to safeguarding customer data and ensuring robust information security practices.

The certification handover ceremony was held on Monday at Nabil Bank’s Head Office, attended by top-level officials of the bank. According to a press statement released by the bank, INTERCERT conducted a rigorous audit of the bank’s information security management practices, systems, and controls before granting the certification.

It added, in an era where cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated, Nabil Bank’s adherence to the ISO 27001:2022 standard reflects its proactive approach to managing information security risks. The certification ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data, reaffirming the bank’s dedication to maintaining the highest security standards across all its operations.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana highlighted the bank’s commitment to information security. “At Nabil Bank, we prioritise the security of our customers’ data. Achieving the ISO 27001:2022 certification reflects our dedication to implementing robust security measures and continuously improving our information security management system,” he stated.

The ISO 27001:2022 certification is an internationally recognised standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It provides a comprehensive framework for managing and protecting sensitive information, showcasing the bank’s proactive efforts to enhance its security measures and ensure customer trust.
