For this, the government has earmarked two lakh rupees for every district. The neonates in serious condition will get Rs 300 to Rs 5,000 for treatment in any other hospital.
If a baby needs to be transferred from a hospital to central hospital, government will foot the transport bill also.

The division will reimburse the funds spent on the babies’ treatment in such a case.
This replaces an earlier arrangement in which the government used to provide Rs 300 to Rs 3,000 each to poor families for the treatment of neonates.
