Nepal set to face Qatar in U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers

Kathmandu, October 25

Nepal’s U-17 football team will play its second match of Group F in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers today against host nation Qatar.

The match is set to kick off at 8:30 PM Nepal time at Aspire Academy Pitch in Doha.

In their opening match, Nepal faced a heavy 9-2 defeat against defending champions Japan, while Qatar secured a 2-0 victory over Mongolia in their first game. Nepal will play its final group match against Mongolia on Sunday.

The qualifiers feature youth teams from 44 AFC member nations, divided into 10 groups. The winner of each group will qualify for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia next year. Additionally, the five best runners-up across the groups will also secure spots in the tournament. As the host nation, Saudi Arabia has already qualified for the event.
