Kathmandu, January 26
A non-government organisation has ‘rescued’ 40 homeless persons found on the road in the Kathmandu valley on Monday and Tuesday.
The Manav Sewa Ashram says it rescued 40 including nine minors from roads of Chabahil, Bauddha, Gokarneshwar, and Pashupati.
Ramji Adhikari of the NGO says the Nepal Police and the Kathmandu metropolitan city also supported the campaign.
Meanwhile, the rescued children have been sent to the National Centre for Children at Risk (Balbalika Khojtalas Kendra) whereas the adults have been kept at Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur branches of the NGO.
