Kathmandu, November 3
India’s President Pranab Mukherjee met Nepal’s former President Ram Baran Yadav at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The two discussed different aspects of Nepal-India relations and issues of bilateral concern.
Former Prime Minister and chief of the CPN-UML’s Foreign Affairs Department, Madhav Kumar Nepal, also met Mukherjee at Hyatt.
Mukherjee and UML leader Nepal discussed Nepal and India’s concerns, Yadav Chandra Sharma, secretary of the department, said in a press release. On the occasion, Mukherjee invited the former prime minister to visit India. According to the release, UML leader Nepal stressed the need to further strengthen Nepal-India relations for prosperity of both the countries and for promotion of matters of mutual interest.
