Purna Bahadurko Sarangi earns $500,000 in 10 Days in the US

The all-time blockbuster Purna Bahadurko Sarangi is making waves in the diaspora, achieving remarkable success in the United States. Starring Bijay Baral, the film continues to set records abroad.

Distributor Nepal Eleven Entertainment has revealed the film’s collection from its first 10 days in the US, totalling $500,000 (approximately Rs 67.5 million). The movie, which premiered on November 8, has been a massive hit among Nepali audiences.

According to distributor Patrick Subedi, the film has earned this impressive amount from over 200 shows. Last Saturday, it set a record for the most shows in a single day for a Nepali film, with 226 screenings.

Currently, the movie is being screened in around 66 theatres across the US, with nearly 200 daily shows. Major markets such as Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, home to large Nepali communities, have recorded the highest box office collections.

The film also boasts a record of over 100 sold-out shows in a single day. Producer Subedi estimates the movie has grossed approximately Rs 150 million in the diaspora so far, although official figures are yet to be confirmed. Beyond the US, Purna Bahadurko Sarangi has seen strong collections in the Middle East and Australian territories.

In Nepal, the film has grossed nearly Rs 360 million in 18 days.
