Rajbiraj, April 27
One person died when people attending a wedding party fought with each other, in Saptari of southern Nepal.
Santalal Paswan (27), a resident of Pansera, Khadak municipality-4, was injured in the fight on Monday night. Police say he died during treatment at the Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar on Wednesday morning.
A fight had ensued as the wedding attendants had differences over the role of DJs at the party hosted at the house of local Ram Chandra Paswan.
DSP Madhav Prasad Kaphle, the Saptari District Police Office spokesperson, says the law enforcers have arrested one person on the charge of the murder and further investigation is underway.
Kin of the victim, however, had been obstructing the Kalyanpur-Kadarbona section along the East-West Highway demanding action against the perpetrator.
