Nepalgunj, March 14
The CPN-UML has shifted its programme venue in Nepalgunj in the wake of obstructions from United Democratic Madheshi Front.
The UML was to organise its mass gathering, a part of its Mechi-Mahakali Campaign, at Ramlila Maidan. Now, the party is organising the gathering at Road Division Office due to UDMF obstructions. UDMF has also called a Nepalgunj bandh on Tuesday targeting the UML programme. Long-route vehicles are not plying, though small vehicles like e-rickshaws are operating.
UML has brought in people from different parts on vehicles for the gathering. UDMF cadres have intercepted vehicles that were to bring in UML cadres Sonpur and UDharapur.
Authorities have stepped up security to avert untoward incidents during UDMF bandh and UML programme.
