Kathmandu, June 7
The Supreme Court has registered a writ petition that has demanded that the court revoke the cabinet reshuffle that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made on Friday last week.
The petitioners including senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi and advocate Kanchan Krishna Neupane argue that the government has already turned into a caretaker status following the announcement of the elections and hence the constitution does not allow the PM to appoint new ministers.
In the petition, the lawyers have demanded that the court revoke the reshuffle and prevent any reshuffle or expansion in the future before the elections.
