Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will not resign even if his government’s bid to amend the constitution to address the demands of the Madheshi Morcha fails in Parliament, his advisor says.

Chakrapani Khanal, who is the Prime Minister’s political advisor, also says the amendment proposal was tabled to resolve political problems facing the country, and it would be passed by consensus.

Khanal, who was speaking at a programme in Kathmandu said, “Yes we are trying to reach a consensus, but the Prime Minister will not resign if the proposal is not passed.” Khanal’s statement comes as political analysts say the Prime Minister would be under moral pressure to quit if his proposal is not passed by Parliament.http://www.onlinekhabar.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Chakrapani-Khanal-Baldev.jpg
