Kathmandu, October 11
Construction entrepreneurs have demanded that the President of Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal Sharad Kumar Gauchan, who was murdered by an unidentified gang in broad daylight on Monday, be declared a martyr.
The family members and the contractors staged a demonstration in Naya Baneshwor today demanding an independent probe into the case, action against the culprit and the martyrdom status.
During the protest, the demonstrators had briefly obstructed the traffic along Baneshwor-Babarmahal road.
Meanwhile, police are still clueless about who were behind the daylight crime.
