Kathmandu, December 18
Nepali Congress’ Sujata Koirala, who was in Singapore to receive treatment after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, says she is cured of the ailment.
The former Deputy Prime Minister returned home recently and is resting at home, her aide Laxman Thapaliya told Onlinekhabar.
“By the grace of god and your prayers, I am not few of cancer, and will return to public life soon,” said Sujata, who is the daughter of Nepali Congress stalwart GP Koirala.
According to her aide, Koirala has undergone mastectomy during her treatment. Doctors attending to her also detected a cyst in her ovaries. Thapaliya said Koirala will have to return to Singapore for another test next month.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s government faced lot of criticism after his decision to provide Rs 5 million to Koirala for her treatment.
