Kawasoti, December 11
Hundreds of passengers have been stranded after the bridge over the Baulaha River at Devchuli, Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway was damaged on Sunday morning.
According to reports, the bridge was damaged after a truck (Na 6 Kha 3017) tried crossing it. Police said it can no longer support heavy traffic.
Hundreds of passengers and buses have been reported stranded. Police said light vehicles have been allowed to use a section of the bridge.
A long line of vehicles waiting to cross the bridge has already reached Rajhar and Kawasoti areas on the highway.
