Kathmandu, December 7
The Madheshi Morcha’s local leaders in Rupandehi have demanded that the government investigate a shooting incident in Bhairahawa on Tuesday night.
The Morcha has also clarified that it was not involved in the shooting of local businessman Kulprasad Neupane, who was leading protests against the constitution amendment bill, in Bhairahawa. An unidentified gunman had opened fire on Neupane, who evaded the attack.
Morcha local leader Mahendra Yadav said it was unfortunate that the alliance was linked with the attack. “We demand that those responsible for the attack be booked,” he said at a press conference in Bhairahawa on Wednesday.
