The Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched its 2025 iteration of its popular smartphone series as the Redmi Note 14 series. The Note 14 series is the successor to last year’s Note 13 series. This year’s Note 14 series has also arrived in Nepal and includes the Redmi Note 14 4G, Redmi Note 14 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G.
The Note series mid-range options come as the Note 14 Pro 5G and the Note 14 Pro+ 5G. The Note 14 Pro 5G is the successor to last year’s Note 13 Pro 5G. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G was not available in Nepal, but its 4G version, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, was a great competitor in the mid-range market. The Note 14 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has got some significant changes in terms of design, build, and performance from its predecessor.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G available in Nepal is the global variant, which differs from the China and India-exclusive variants. The same is true for the rest of the smartphones in the lineup. The Note 14 Pro 5G’s global variant has some differences from the China and India-exclusive variants, such as IP rating, rear main camera, battery size, and battery technology.

Design and Display
Design-wise, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G shares similarities with its elder sibling, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. The back of the Note 14 Pro 5G has few changes from its predecessor, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. The camera module at the left side of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is now in the middle on the top part of the back in the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. The back of the Note 14 Pro 5G is made up of vegan leather on the Coral Green and Lavender Purple, whereas the Midnight Black has a matte finish on its plastic back. The back is curved towards the shiny frame, giving a more premium look.
The build on the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is solid, featuring a high-strength aluminium composite frame with reinforced internal components, improving rigidity by 10% and enhancing protection against drops with polymer buffering and a steel-reinforced core. For added durability, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and also has IP68 dust and water resistance.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G has a curved display at the front, which complements the curved back and curved frame for a more premium look. The display has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels on top and the bottom are very thin, giving a seamless viewing experience. It features a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 2712 x 1220 resolution. It offers a smooth viewing experience with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz.
The display is bright, reaching a peak brightness of 3000 nits, and delivers vibrant colours with its 12-bit colour depth, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, and a remarkable contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. This display supports Dolby Vision® for an enhanced visual experience and includes features like HDR10+, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and 20,000-level brightness adjustment for precise control. It is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light, flicker-free operation, and circadian-friendly technology, ensuring eye comfort even during prolonged use.
Performance and Storage
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, built on a 4nm process. Its octa-core CPU, featuring four high-performance Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.5 GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz, helps in smooth multitasking and fast app performance. The Mali-G615 MC2 GPU delivers graphics capabilities for gaming and multimedia. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14. As for updates, it includes three major Android OS upgrades and four years of regular security updates.
The smartphone comes with two memory options: offering 8GB RAM paired with 256GB storage or 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. As for cooling, it is equipped with advanced graphite cooling technology to ensure efficient heat dissipation during intensive usage.
Camera
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G has a triple camera system with a 200MP main rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and a bright f/1.65 aperture. Its 1/1.4” large sensor and 16-in-1 pixel binning technology create large 2.24μm pixels for detailed low-light performance and sharp, detailed photos. The 7P lens ensures clear and vibrant shots in a variety of settings. Complementing the main camera, there’s an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture for capturing landscapes and group shots and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture for close-up details.
The rear camera of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G offers a variety of creative modes such as Dynamic shots, Motion tracking focus, Lightning Burst, filmFrame, Portraits, Document, Night mode, Dual video, and Steady video. Battery and Others
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is powered by a lithium-ion 5110 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage throughout the day. It supports 45W wired charging for quick refills. The 45W charging adapter is available in the box. As for connectivity options, it includes Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band) and Bluetooth 5.3 for fast and reliable wireless performance. The smartphone supports LTE and 5G networks for seamless internet connectivity and dual SIM capability.
The audio of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is enhanced with dual stereo speakers for immersive sound. It, however, does not have the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It also has a suite of sensors, like the proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, IR blaster, electronic compass, X-axis linear motor, and in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is available in three colour options: Phantom Purple, Mystique White, and Titan Black.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is official in Nepal and costs Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option and Rs 44,999 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option.
