Birgunj, March 25
Police in Birgunj of Parsa district near the Nepal-India border have detained 52 people on Tuesday midnight after finding that they travelled to the city from Kathmandu hiding in a container during the lockdown.
The people arrested near Ghantaghar of Birgunj have not been released yet. They travelled on the container truck (Na 5 Kha 9552) to travel to Birgunj from the capital via Chitwan and Hetaunda, according to police.
It has been learned that each had paid them Rs 200 to the truck driver as the travel fare.
Further investigation is underway.
