CoAS Rajendra Chhetri off to Bangladesh on a six-day visit

Kathmandu, November 15

Chief of the Army Staff, General Rajendra Chhetri, left for Dhaka on Tuesday on a six-day visit to Bangladesh.

General Chhetri is visiting Bangladesh responding to an invitation from Chief of the Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq. Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Baldev Mahat, saw off General Chhetri at Tribhuvan International Airport.

This is General Chhetri’s first visit to Bangladesh as Nepal Army chief. During the visit, Chhetri will call on Bangladesh President, CoAS Huq and other distinguished personalities. He will also visit Bangladesh National Defence College and other military units and installations.

CoGS Mahat will discharge duties as acting CoAS of the Nepal Army in General Chhetri’s absence, NA said in a press release.
