Janakpur, February 18
The Madhesh Province Police Office has formed an investigation committee to further probe the death of Rinku Sada from Nawarajpur, Siraha.
The five-member committee is led by SSP Shanti Raj Koirala. According to the police, the committee includes an inspector and personnel from the case handling department.
The committee has begun its investigation today, visiting the incident site to gather information.
On January 12, 17-year-old Rinku Sada, daughter of Bijuliya Sada from Bhagwatipur Tole, Nawarajpur Rural Municipality-1, was found hanging from a noose tied to the tin roof of her house.
Reports suggest that before the incident, three local youths had allegedly gang-raped her, and an attempt was made to settle the matter through a village arbitration.
