Legendary Nepali band Kandara is making a grand comeback to Kathmandu after 32 years, celebrating their remarkable journey with a special 32nd Anniversary Concert. The long-awaited event will be held on November 9, at Club LOD, with Devendra Bablu and The Firantee as the opening act, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.
The concert, organised by Wires Music, marks Kandara’s first performance in Kathmandu in over three decades, promising to be a historic reunion for fans old and new. Band members include Bivek Shrestha on vocals, Sunil Thapa on drums, Dev Lama on lead guitar, Pankaj Jha on bass guitar, Avinash Gayak on madal, and Umesh Thapa on keyboards. The event is under the management of Aayush Dhamala, the band’s manager.
Tickets are available for purchase exclusively through the Khalti app. With excitement building among music lovers across the valley, Kandara’s 32nd Anniversary Concert also starting a global campaign titled “Pahile Ghar Desh, Ani Pardesh’.
This campaign symbolises Kandara’s commitment to promoting Nepali music in Nepal and across international stages. According to a press statement released by the band, it aims to showcase Nepali culture’s depth, the band will tour in the UK and Dubai in January 2025; Japan in February 2025; Australia and New Zealand in March and April 2025; the USA in May 2025; Canada in June and finally Europe from July to August 2025.
